ROUND 4 ASSEN
GARA 2

RACE 2

The home race for Team EAB, out on track with rider Randy Krummenacher, who completed Friday’s free practice day in fifth place with a fastest time of 1’38.157.
This morning, as usual, it was time for the Tissot Superpole, a session that establishes the grid positions for both of the weekend’s races. Krummenacher set a best time of 1’38.117, securing the fifth spot on the grid as a result.
The number five has characterised this Assen round for Team EAB so far. And Krummenacher also finished today’s first race in fifth place. The Swiss rider, sixth on lap one, lost a position during the course of the third lap, lying seventh on lap nine before making up the previously lost ground during the second part of the race. The Team EAB Racing rider was caught up in a spectacular battle in the final stages, fighting for fourth place against Frenchman Cluzel.

#RK21: “I’m pleased with today’s result. I know we can do better and fight for the podium, this is the goal and we’re getting ever closer. It was a tough race but I had good feeling with the bike and, more importantly, we acquired useful data with which to improve for tomorrow’s race. We still need to take a small step in order to fight at the front but I’m sure my team will soon put me in the condition to be able to do this, hopefully already in tomorrow’s second race”.

#Ferry Schoenmakers: “This is our best result since the start of the season and I’m pleased we’ve done it here, at our home round. We knew we’d have to work hard together with Krummenacher, in order to improve our performance, but we have a good rider and a good team, and the results are coming. I want to thank my guys, the technicians and mechanics, Randy and all our sponsors, in the hope we will soon be on the podium.”

GARA 1

ROUND 3 MISANO ADRIATICO GARA 2

CALA IL SIPARIO SUL TERZO ROUND DEL MONDIALE FIM SUPERSPORT 600. DOMENICA DI GARA DAL SAPORE DOLCE E AMARO

Misano Adriatico 13 Giugno 2021

ROUND 3 MISANO ADRIATICO RACE 2

THE CURTAIN FALLS ON ROUND THREE OF THE FIM SUPERSPORT 600 CHAMPIONSHIP. A BITTERSWEET RACE DAY

Misano Adriatico 13 June 2021

The Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’ is the stage for round three of the FIM Supersport World Championship, today’s conditions even hotter than yesterday’s. At 9.25 am local time the riders were out for the warm-up, a session in which Krummenacher closed eighth with a best time of 1’38.666. The second Supersport race then got underway at 12.30, in very hot conditions with a track temperature of around 47C°. It was a difficult race for several reasons, one characterised by red flags, a restart and multiple crashes. During the course of lap six, a red flag brought the race to a halt following an accident, while Krummenacher was lying ninth. The riders returned to the track a short while later for a quick restart, this second ‘heat’ of the race reduced to 12 laps. In these cases, the grid is based on the positions riders held when the red flag first came out. So a ninth-place start for the Team EAB Racing rider. Krummenacher held this position until lap five when he unfortunately suffered a crash at turn 13. The Italian weekend therefore comes to a bittersweet conclusion for the Swiss rider. Although he returns home with a DNF in race 2, he and the team proved that they can run close to the front. At the time of the crash, Krummenacher was lapping with times in line with the frontrunners, his best lap completed in 1’38.874.

RANDY KRUMMENACHER
“It’s been a hard weekend but I always try to see the positives. I know we’re improving and working in the right direction. Unfortunately, I crashed through a fast turn and so scored no points in this race, but I realise just how fast we can be. The next step is to work on our consistency and then I think we can be there, fighting at the front. Thanks to my team, my sponsors, my family and everyone who supports me. We’ll be back on track at Assen over the weekend of 23-25 July and we hope to be able to demonstrate our full potential.”

FERRY SCHOENMAKERS:
“Not a perfect weekend of course but we’re trying to learn from all we’ve done over the first three rounds. We now have more than a month’s break and we’ll have time to better analyse and understand how to take that last missing step, so that we can head out at the Assen circuit and show what we can do. Once again, my thanks go to everyone who supports us, the team and Randy for their constant, professional work”.

ROUND 3 MISANO ADRIATICO GARA 1

ROUND 3 DEL MONDIALE FIM SUPERSPORT 600: GARA 1 TERMINA IN SETTIMA POSIZIONE PER IL TEAM EAB ED IL PILOTA RANDY KRUMMENACHER

Misano Adriatico 12 Giugno 2021

ROUND 3 MISANO ADRIATICO RACE 1

ROUND 3 OF THE FIM SUPERSPORT 600 CHAMPIONSHIP: TEAM EAB AND RIDER RANDY KRUMMENACHER FINISH RACE 1 IN SEVENTH PLACE

Misano Adriatico 12 June 2021

The third round of the FIM Supersport 600 world championship is currently taking place in Italy, at the Misano World Circuit ‘Marco Simoncelli’.
The team was greeted with sunny weather, temperatures of around 30°C and humidity of roughly 60%.
Having completed yesterday’s two free practices in eleventh and eighth position respectively, Randy Krummenacher was back on track this morning at 10.25 am (CET), for the Tissot Superpole, a sessin that established the starting grid for the weekend’s races. Randy Krummenacher completed a solid qualifying session, earning the eighth spot on the grid, just +0230 from first.
Race 1 got underway at 3.15 pm local time on a very hot track (49C°). The Team EAB Racing rider lost two positions immediately off the line, placing tenth through the opening lap. A position that he maintained for a good part of the race, before making up some ground in the final stages. Krummenacher in fact set his best time, a 1’39.017, on lap sixteen. On the seventeenth lap, the Swiss rider moved into seventh place, a position he then held to the line.

RK21: “I’m pleased that we’re starting to travel the right path. Both yesterday and this morning in Superpole I had good feeling with the bike. To be honest, I thought I could do better in this race, as I felt ready to fight with the leading group but I wasn’t able to find the same confidence with the rear, probably due to the higher track temperatures. I finished in seventh place but I’m sure that the team and I are working in the right direction. Now we have more information with which to prepare for tomorrow’s race”.

Ferry Schoenmakers: “As with every start, we needed a little time to find the ideal solutions for our rider. This weekend is very important for me because I know that Krummenacher is finding the right feeling with the bike, even if the race was a little tricky due to some issues with the rear. The team is working hard to provide the rider with the most high-performance bike possible and I think that we are testing to see the first results. I’m feeling very positive and confidence ahead of tomorrow’s race, I know that Randy can do well and I have faith in both his and the team’s decisions. I want to thank all our sponsors and technical partners, as well as the team and Randy of course”.

ROUND 2 ESTORIL GARA 2

GARA DUE DEL MONDIALE FIM SUPERPOSRT 600: KRUMMENACHER TAGLIA IL TRAGUARDO IN NONA POSIZIONE

Estoril (Portogallo) 30 Maggio 2021

Ciao Jason, corri in pace”

ROUND 2 ESTORIL RACE 1

SECOND SUPERSPORT 600 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RACE: KRUMMENACHER CROSSES THE LINE NINTH

Estoril (Portugal) 30 May 2021

The final day of racing at the Estoril circuit has drawn to a close. After this morning’s warm-up, in which Randy Krummenacher finished fifth, the Swiss rider lined up in eleventh place on the grid for the weekend’s second race, as a result of the qualifying time he set during Saturday’s Tissot Superpole.
At 12:30 local time, the fourth WorldSS race got underway in hot and sunny conditions (track temperature 38°C).
Krummenacher ran a hard-fought race albeit a little further back. Despite having found good feeling with his bike this morning, the Swiss rider unfortunately didn’t have the same sensations during the race.

A difficult day for Krummenacher then, not only in terms of his results, but particularly in light of the news regarding young Swiss rider Jason Dupasquier, who passed away this morning following yesterday’s accident at the Mugello circuit. Krummenacher and the entire Team EAB Racing extend their condolences to the Swiss rider’s family.

#RK21: “Today’s been a very difficult day. This morning, after the warm-up, I was sure I’d found the right feeling with the bike and felt positive ahead of the race. But unfortunately the track conditions were different and the temperatures higher, so I had totally different sensations and couldn’t push as I’d hoped. This meant I had to settle for ninth place. Not the results we want of course, and we’ll continue to work hard to achieve our goals.
Shortly before we headed out, we learned of Jason Dupasquier’s passing. Both the SBK and MotoGP paddocks are united in their sadness. My thoughts are with Jason’s relatives. I send them my sincere condolences and hope they can find the strength to face up to this immense tragedy. Ciao Jason, ride in peace”.

ROUND 2 ESTORIL GARA 1

L’AUTODROMO DI ESTORIL FA DA SCENARIO AL SECONDO ROUND DEL MONDIALE SUPERSPORT: KRUMMENACHER CHIUDE IN NONA POSIZIONE LA PRIMA GARA DEL WEEKEND

Estoril (Portogallo) 29 Maggio 2021

ROUND 2 ESTORIL RACE 1

THE ESTORIL CIRCUIT PLAYS HOST TO THE SECOND WORLD SUPERSPORT ROUND: KRUMMENACHER CLOSES THE WEEKEND’S FIRST RACE IN NINTH PLACE

Estoril (Portugal) 29 May 2021

The first race of the second Supersport World Championship weekend played out today at the Estoril Circuit, located not far from Lisbon.
The teams and riders have had no time to rest, having travelled directly from Aragón, in Spain, where round one was held last weekend.
Krummenacher headed out on track yesterday for the first free practice sessions, working to improve the set-up of his Yamaha YZF R6 together with his technicians.
This morning the Team EAB Racing rider was out on track at 10.25am local time for the Tissot Superpole, the qualifying session that establishes grid positions for both of the weekend’s races. Krummenacher completed the phase in eleventh place, with a best time of 1’41.040.
At 3.15pm local time, the lights went out on the third race of the season. Having gained one grid position after Niki Tuuli received a penalty, Krummenacher lost several positions through the first laps before finding good feeling and pace once more in the second half of the race. The Swiss rider moved up to ninth place by lap twelve, a position he was able to hold to the line.
Team EAB Racing and the Swiss rider, who of course aim for better results, are starting to see the fruit of their work together. Krummenacher has stated that he definitely feels better than he did in the previous race, although he’s aware that there is still work to do.

#RK21: “I’m aware that we’re not showing our full potential but we’re working in the right direction and are starting to understand the problems we’ve had until now. At first, during the first part of the race, I couldn’t push as I wanted, then I found better feeling as the bike got gradually lighter. I was finally able to push and my best lap time also demonstrates this. Now we’ll get to work ahead of tomorrow’s race, in which I hope we can take another step forward”

ROUND 1 MOTORLAND ARAGON GARA 2

ROUND 1 MOTORLAND ARAGON RACE 2

RANDY KRUMMENACHER FINISHES THE SECOND FIM SUPERSPORT 600 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RACE IN NINTH PLACE

Motorland Aragón, 23 May 2021

The opening round of the Supersport FIM World Championship has come to a close at the Circuito di Aragón today.
Race 2 got underway at 12.30pm local time, Team EAB Racing rider Randy Krummenacher starting from fourteenth on the grid, one position further forward compared to yesterday due to the absence of rider Niki Tuuli, the victim of a crash yesterday. Krummenacher made a good start, immediately making up many positions to move into third on lap two. The weather conditions appeared unpredictable before the race and this perhaps meant that Krummenacher and his team made an incorrect set-up choice. The Swiss rider went with a wet set-up and rain tyres which allowed him to make up places through the opening stages but then hindered him as the track gradually started to dry, causing him to fall back and lose the previously gained ground. Randy finished his race in ninth position, and has high hopes for the next round which will see the team competing at the Estoril track in Portugal already next weekend (28-30 May)

#RK21: “Definitely not the best race weekend and the results are not what I was hoping for. Unfortunately, a series of things occurred, first a crash in Superpole, which saw me forced to start from the back, then the uncertain weather and an incorrect set-up choice. I’m not disheartened though and together with my team, we’ll analyse the data and understand where to improve in order to return to the track next weekend and score better results. A big thank-you to the sponsors that support us and to the whole team”.
