First round of the MotoE World Championship on the Le Mans circuit in France: Krummenacher achieves a third and seventh place
The first two races of the new era of the MotoE World Championship took place today on the French circuit of Le Mans. First round for the riders of the electric category astride the Ducati V21L. Krummenacher, after taking to the track yesterday for the two free practice sessions, set the fourth fastest time in qualifying with a time of 1'41.480, i.e. second row on the starting grid. In today's first race, which saw the traffic lights go out at 12.20 local time, the Swiss rider, representing Team Dynavolt Intact GP, took the Ducati V21L to the third step of the podium, setting the best time of 1'41.521
The second race took place at 5.10pm local time and saw Krummenacher pass seventh when the checkered flag waved with his best lap of 1'40.748.
A challenging opening weekend but also with some good satisfactions for Krummenacher
#RK3: “It was the first race weekend in the MotoE World Championship and I have to say that the more I ride this bike, the more I like it. I certainly don't have a lot of experience in the electric category yet, but I think I have a good margin on which I can work, together with my team, in order to improve more and more. The Ducati V21L is a bike with great potential and we will certainly make the most of it. For now however, while in race 1 I was able to take the third step of the podium, in race 2 I had some more difficulties and had to settle for seventh place. The next round will take place on the Mugello circuit, which I like a lot and know well, and therefore I remain confident that we can take a step forward. I thank Team Dynavolt Intact GP for the professionalism and work done.”
