Paolo Orsini (Team Director):

RANDY KRUMMENACHER TO COMPETE IN THE ITALIAN CIV ABOARD THE KEOPE MOTOR TEAM’S YAMAHA R1

Having raced in the Supersport World Championship for several years and won the world title in 2019, the 31-year old Swiss rider will now take on the Italian CIV series, riding the Yamaha YZF-R1M for the Keope Motor Team. The Italian squad, supported by Yamaha Motor Italy, has chosen the Swiss rider as a permanent entry who will be flanked, when race schedules permit, by Italian rider Niccolò Canepa. Krummenacher, Team Director Paolo Orsini and Team Manager Stefano Morri quickly reached an agreement, with both parties having real interest and equal motivation to fight in what is an increasingly high-level championship, backed in their decision by Yamaha, which supported the signing of the contract. The Swiss rider is keen to compete in a competitive championship that has seen some big names on the grid in recent years and has high expectations going into the 2022 season, trusting fully in the Keope Motor Team and in the Japanese manufacturer.

Randy Krummenacher:
“I very much liked the CIV Superbike project with Yamaha and Keope Motor Team right from the off. I already knew Team Manager Stefano Morri and can say that I have complete faith in him and Paolo Orsini (Team Director). Thanks to the support of Yamaha, I know that I’ll have a strong package and I’ll do my best to exploit that. Racing with a Superbike again, in such a high-level championship, really motivates me and I can’t wait for the first tests. Our expectations are very high for 2022 and I’ll do all I can to meet them. I want to thank everyone who has helped ensure this project takes shape – the Italian branch of Yamaha Motor Europe, the Keope Motor Team, all the sponsors.

Paolo Orsini (Team Director):
“I’m honoured and enthusiastic about continuing our collaboration with the Italian branch of Yamaha Motor Europe. With Randy Krummenacher and Niccolò Canepa, I think we can aim for significant results. I have complete faith in our riders, as I do in the technicians of the Keope Motor Team, and I know that together we can aim for big things. Thanks to everyone who is involved in this project, particularly all our partners and sponsors who help us to achieve our goals.”

Stefano Morri (Team Manager):
“To be able to continue our collaboration with the Italian branch of Yamaha Motor Europe is a real honour as well as highly motivating. Randy Krummenacher and Niccolò Canepa are two very strong riders and together we can move forward with some significant development as well as aiming for strong results of course. We have a solid base on which to build, and we can’t wait to get out on track for the first test sessions.”
