| ULTIMO ROUND DEL CIV SUPERBIKE SUL CIRCUITO “ENZO E DINO FERRARI” DI IMOLA: KRUMMENACHER CHIUDE GARA 1 IN QUARTA POSIZIONE MENTRE TERMINA GARA 2 COSTRETTO AL RITIRO AL QUARTO GIRO Imola 9 Ottobre 2022 Cala il sipario sul Circuito di Imola che ha ospitato l’ultimo round del Campionato Italiano Velocità. Un weekend impegnativo, per Randy Krummenacher, che ha potuto provare per la prima volta la sua Yamaha YZF R1M sul tracciato di Imola solo questo venerdì in occasione delle prove libere. Pochi dati utili per poter affrontare le qualifiche che hanno portato allo svizzero la sesta casella in griglia di partenza. Gara 1, andata in scena nella giornata di sabato, ha visto il pilota del Keope Motor Team, dover fare i conti con qualche difficoltà iniziale ma, il lavoro svolto nelle sessioni precedenti, gli ha consentito di passare in quarta posizione allo sventolare della bandiera a scacchi. Nella giornata odierna è andata in scena la seconda ed ultima gara del weekend. Krummenacher però è stato costretto al ritiro per un problema tecnico dopo pochi giri dalla partenza. Termina così una stagione non priva di difficoltà ma anche con buone soddisfazioni. L’elvetico infatti, nella prima gara del quinto round tenutosi sul circuito del Mugello, ha riportato la Yamaha sul gradino più alto del podio, dopo 14 anni che la casa dei tre diapason non conquistava una prima posizione nel Campionato Italiano Velocità. #RK21: “Si conclude la mia prima stagione nel CIV, un campionato di altissimo livello che mi ha portato a confrontarmi con la Yamaha YZF R1M, una moto che ha un potenziale altissimo e che mi sono davvero divertito a guidare. L’inizio di stagione non è stato facile, ho dovuto saltare la prima gara per ragioni di salute, poi a Vallelunga sono caduto e ho riportato la frattura del perone. Insomma abbiamo perso le prime battute di questo campionato ma, grazie alla professionalità ed alla capacità dei miei tecnici, dopo le difficoltà iniziali, abbiamo anche collezionato delle belle soddisfazioni come al Mugello, ad esempio, dove ho conquistato il primo ed il secondo gradino del podio, rispettivamente in gara 1 e gara 2. Questo weekend non è stato facile poiché non abbiamo avuto possibilità di provare sulla pista di Imola e quindi non avevamo dati sui quali poter lavorare. Come sempre però, i tecnici hanno dato il massimo e ho potuto concludere la prima gara in quarta posizione partendo dalla sesta casella. Gara 2 è stata invece meno fortunata anche se rispetto a ieri avevamo migliorato ed avevo un buon feeling con la moto ma, un problema tecnico, mi ha costretto al ritiro. Peccato chiudere così ma queste sono le gare e bisogna accettare anche gli imprevisti. In Imola ist der Vorhang nach dem Saisonfinale in der italienischen Superbike-Meisterschaft gefallen. Es war ein herausforderndes Wochenende für Randy Krummenacher, der seine Yamaha YZF R1M erst am Freitag im freien Training in Imola zum ersten Mal testen konnte. Mit nur wenigen gesammelten Daten vor dem Qualifying sicherte sich der Schweizer den sechsten Startplatz. Im ersten Rennen am Samstag kämpfte der Fahrer des Keope Motor Team anfänglich mit einigen Schwierigkeiten, aber die Arbeit aus den vorhergehenden Sessions erlaubte es ihm, sich auf den vierten Rang zu verbessern. Im zweiten und letzten Rennen heute Sonntag musste Krummenacher nach wenigen Runden mit einem technischen Problem aufgeben. Insgesamt verlief die Saison nicht ohne Probleme, doch es gab auch Höhepunkte. Der Schweizer fuhr mit seiner Yamaha beispielsweise im ersten Rennen in Mugello zuoberst aufs Podest, 14 Jahre nach dem letzten Sieg des japanischen Herstellers in der italienischen Meisterschaft.
#RK21: «Meine erste Saison in der CIV ist zu Ende. Es ist eine hochklassige Meisterschaft, in der ich mich mit der Yamaha YZF R1M anfreundete. Die Maschine hat viel Potenzial und es bereitete mir viel Freude, sie zu fahren. Der Saisonstart war nicht einfach, ich verpasste das erste Rennen aus gesundheitlichen Gründen. Dann stürzte ich in Vallelunga und brach mir das Wadenbein. Deshalb verloren wir die Meisterschaft schon früh. Doch dank der Professionalität und den Fähigkeiten meiner Techniker sammelten wir auch einige tolle Resultate wie beispielsweise in Mugello, wo ich einmal gewann und dann noch Zweiter wurde. Das abschliessende Wochenende war nun nicht einfach, weil wir zuvor in Imola nicht testen konnten und keine Daten hatten, mit denen wir arbeiten konnten. Doch wie immer haben die Techniker alles gegeben und ich konnte mich gestern im ersten Rennen vom sechsten Startplatz auf den vierten Rang verbessern. Im zweiten Rennen heute hatte ich weniger Glück, obwohl wir uns im Vergleich zu gestern steigerten und ich ein gutes Gefühl auf dem Motorrad hatte. Doch wegen einem technischen Problem musste ich aufgeben. Es ist schade, aber das ist Racing, und man muss solche Zwischenfälle einfach akzeptieren. Ein grosser Dank geht an das Keope Motor Team und an Yamaha Italia für die Gelegenheit und für die Professionalität in diesem Projekt. Danke auch an alle meine Sponsoren und Supporter, dass sie in dieser Saison erneut für mich da waren.»
FINAL CIV SUPERBIKE ROUND AT THE IMOLA “ENZO E DINO FERRARI” CIRCUIT: KRUMMENACHER CLOSES RACE 1 FOURTH BEFORE BEING FORCED TO RETIRE ON LAP FOUR IN RACE 2

The curtain goes down at the Imola Circuit and signals the end of the final Italian CIV round. A challenging weekend for rider Randy Krummenacher, who was only able to test his Yamaha YZF R1M for the first time at the Imola track on Friday, during free practice. With little data to refer to ahead of qualifying, the Swiss rider secured sixth place on the starting grid. Race 1, which played out on Saturday, saw the Keope Motor Team rider dealing with a few initial difficulties but the work completed in previous sessions allowed him to move up into final fourth position. The weekend’s second and final race played out today, but Krummenacher was unfortunately forced to retire just a few laps in after suffering a technical problem. Overall, the season has not been without its difficulties but there have also been high points. The Swiss rider powered the Yamaha to the top step of the podium in race 1 at Mugello for example, fourteen years after the Japanese manufacturer had last scored a win in the CIV championship.
#RK21: “My first season in CIV comes to an end. It’s a high-level championship that has seen me getting to grips with the Yamaha YZF R1M, a bike that has great potential and that I’ve had a lot of fun riding. The start of the season wasn’t easy, and I had to miss the first race for health reasons. Then, I crashed at Vallelunga and fractured my calf bone. So we lost out earlier on in the championship but, thanks to the professionalism and ability of my technicians, we have also collected some great results, like at Mugello, for example, where I finished first and second in race 1 and 2. This weekend wasn’t easy as we hadn’t had chance to test at Imola and so had no data to work with. As always though, the technicians gave it their all and I was able to finish fourth in race 1 after starting sixth. Race 2 was less lucky, though there was improvement compared to yesterday and I had good feeling with the bike. Unfortunately though, a technical problem meant I had to retire. It was a pity to end like this but that’s racing, and you also have to accept unforeseen events. A big thanks to the Keope Motor Team and Yamaha Italia for the opportunity and the professionalism that’s gone into the project.
